Deprecated. This resource will be removed in a future release.
It selects how this API authenticates when it connects directly to the management interface of a gateway broker, either basic authentication or API key based authentication.
Application registrations are now deployed to gateway brokers through Event Portal, which does not use this setting.
It is only needed for application registrations that were provisioned before deployment through Event Portal was introduced in September 2025.
